This is version (change log)

If this is a local copy, or this site is visited and hosted on a different domain;
the home of this project is :
https://distract.one

The source code (html/js) is of course contained within this page (e.g., use 'view source' in your browser). If it is more convenient for you to see the source on GitHub:
https://github.com/MichaelKrause/DistractOne.
At the moment distract.one and the github repo are NOT inter-linked via github pages (.io).

This tool is maybe helpfull e.g., to assess ideas or paper prototypes. I no case, this tool is intended or should be used as replacement for a driver distraction test (e.g., occlusion)!

This tool is one of the helpers developed during and for my doctoral thesis. The web application is self-containing (except the video tutorial). If you save it as complete website locally, you can work offline.

The project heavily uses other projects and libraries (see credits below) with different open source licences. My parts of this online tool are intended to be MIT licenced (the term 'associated documentation' does NOT include the doctoral thesis document, itself!):

Tutorials
A short video tutorial was recorded and is hosted on youtube https://youtu.be/9KhcG62aSaI. It's also accessible via the navigation icon in the left navigation bar. The thesis holds a short manual (about 5 pages) in the appendix https://mediatum.ub.tum.de/doc/1341249/1341249.pdf#appendix.A. The thesis describes the background, experiments and validation of this online tool and driver distraction model. If you need an introduction to driver distraction assessment Suitability for Use while Driving -- Introduction for (App) Developers, can be a start.
